About the author

Susan McKenna Grant is the chef and, along with her husband Michael, the co-owner of La Petraia, a self-sufficient farm and luxury inn in the Chianti Classico area of Tuscany, one of Italy’s oldest wine-making regions.

The Grants spent more than a decade restoring and planting the 165-acre property. It now includes vineyards, olive and fruit orchards, and a wide variety of vegetable and ornamental gardens. Petraia offers fine dining and accommodation as well as cooking and wine classes to guests from all over the world.

Susan is also the author of two award winning cookbooks. Piano, Piano, Pieno: Authentic Food from a Tuscan Farm and Dinamica, La Petraia Cucina Sistemica at KM 0.
